Description

The Kujjana Art School 6-Month Pencil Drawing Course (Senior / Adult Category) is a comprehensive 48-session structured program designed to build strong artistic foundations and gradually develop realistic drawing and shading skills using graphite pencils only.

This course is ideal for adults who want to learn drawing from the basics, improve technical accuracy, or refine their skills in a systematic, practice-oriented way. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who has drawn before but lacks structure, this program will guide you step by step toward confident and expressive artwork.

The journey begins with core fundamentals—lines, shapes, forms, proportions, and light—because every strong drawing is built on these essentials. As the months progress, students learn how to convert simple forms into three-dimensional objects, apply realistic shading techniques, and understand how light, shadow, and perspective work together to create depth and realism.

Throughout the course, you will develop skills in:

  • Strong drawing fundamentals including lines, shapes, forms, and proportions
  • Realistic shading techniques using graphite pencils for depth and contrast
  • Perspective drawing for rooms, buildings, and structured scenes
  • Still-life drawing with correct composition, balance, and object placement
  • Texture rendering such as wood, metal, fabric, hair, fur, stone, and glass
  • Human anatomy basics and structured portrait drawing from multiple angles
  • Nature and landscape sketching with layering and atmospheric depth
  • Creative concept drawing and completing a polished final artwork

The syllabus is carefully divided into monthly skill-building phases, covering foundation training, perspective and still life, texture development, nature and anatomy basics, portrait and figure drawing, and finally advanced rendering and a complete final artwork. Progress drawings at key stages help students visually track improvement and gain confidence.

Each lesson includes guided practice and home activities, ensuring consistent improvement through hands-on drawing rather than theory alone. By the end of six months, students will not only understand how to draw—but why drawings work—giving them the confidence to create independent, well-structured artwork.

This course is perfect for adults seeking:

  • A strong foundation in pencil drawing
  • Portfolio-ready artworks
  • Improved observation and shading skills
  • A disciplined, long-term art learning experience

By the end of the program, students will complete a fully refined final artwork that reflects their growth from fundamentals to advanced rendering—an achievement they can proudly showcase.
